The Des Moines Menace organization is searching for up to four Account Executives who are responsible for carrying out the Des Moines Menace’s ticket sales and marketing plans, while building relationships in the community. These individuals will develop and execute ticket sales, in addition to developing marketing and promotional strategies, for the Menace’s 25th Anniversary season. This opportunity will run the length of the Menace season with the opportunity to earn both base pay plus commissions on tickets sold.

What you’ll do

  • Help fulfill the sales and marketing plan for the Des Moines Menace, including season tickets, single-game tickets, and group outings
  • Manage and add sales inventory to meet the changing needs of current and prospective customers
  • Foster trust-based relationships with sponsors, fans, and prospective customers
  • Create a communication plan for updating sponsors and season ticket holders about upcoming events
  • Assist with aspects of the organization’s sales, including reporting and tracking
  • Assist in the marketing of the Des Moines Menace, with the goal of building excitement and revenues
  • Lead promotional aspects of the game-day fan experience
  • Provide exceptional customer service, while working nights and weekends at Menace home games

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing initiatives and strategies, preferably in the sports industry
  • Outstanding organization, communication, presentation, listening, persuasion, and customer service skills
  • Team player who is willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • High level of professionalism, work ethic, and integrity
  • Self-motivation, positive attitude, and a dedication to the organization’s goals, mission, and values

Other key requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two years of sales call experience required; sports ticket sales experience preferred
  • Marketing and strategy development background preferred
