Regional Maintenance Supervisor - Solar Transport

Solar Transport is looking for a Regional Maintenance Supervisor to provide regional fleet support through establishing new and maintaining existing vendor relationships to ensure Solar Transport is receiving the best in all pricing to purchase service, equipment, repairs, fittings, hoses, and all tractor trailer related items. In this role, your knowledge and experience with DOT requirements and compliance will help in maintaining, providing, and equipping appropriate tractor trailer documents.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and the ability to proficiently navigate our maintenance tracking platform while assisting our Solar Transport drivers, within the region, with any roadside, repair, and maintenance needs.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute schedule for all maintenance. Planned and unplanned.
  • Maintain the DVIR process, communicate repair plans in a timely manner, and resolve issues in maintenance platform (Samsara) to maintain DOT compliance.
  • Act as the first line contact for equipment breakdowns and subsequent maintenance.
  • Maintain, provide, and equip all proper tractor trailer documentation as required by the DOT.
  • Work directly with Operations to ensure all maintenance processes are followed and communicated.
  • Coordinate the delivery and implementation of new equipment as well as the retirement of existing equipment.
  • Work with Director of Fleet Maintenance Manager on equipment moves and positioning.
  • Perform regular inspection of equipment to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Supervise terminal yards ensuring safety, security, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance.
  • Manage equipment to be aligned with company core values exhibiting a professional image to fellow co-workers, surrounding communities, and customer base.
  • Respond to the needs and requests of clients, Solar Transport management, and Solar Transport staff in a professional and expedient manner.

Other key requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience or driving experience strongly preferred
  • Class A CDL strongly preferred
  • Relocation to Denver, CO area required if not within the area
