Solar Transport is searching for a Recruiter and Onboarding Specialists to join our team! Must be located in Denver, CO.

Are you passionate about providing a positive recruiting and onboarding experience for new associates? Do you have a background in transportation/trucking/driver recruitment?

Solar Transport is searching for two talented and passionate Recruiter and Onboarding Specialists to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Driver Recruitment process including managing and executing orientation and onboarding programs. You’ll use your coordination and process management skills to manage the recruiting process, organizing and participating in screening of candidates, assisting with driver retention programs and activities, and manage and facilitate orientation for new associates.

This role will have an expectation of availability to travel (40%) to markets to conduct orientation and field recruiting.

What you’ll do


  • Develop and implement the recruiting/selling process by providing candidates with details and accurate information

  • Ensure all candidates are fully informed on what Solar Transport has to offer from the duties of the role to the benefits of the company

  • Utilize and maintain ATS and TMA process including Tenstreet and TMW

  • Keep current on DOT qualification standards and company policies

  • Provide weekly branding and social media content updates to leader

  • Participate in hiring fairs, truck shows, and marketing opportunities

  • Assists leadership in retention program efforts

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Support the design, planning, development, and implementation of the onboarding and orientation program for new drivers

  • Travel to markets to conduct orientation

  • Provide optimal onboarding experience for new hires

  • Consult with new associates to ensure the onboarding process is welcoming, thorough, and incorporates company culture

  • Offers recommendations and implements changes to the recruiting and onboarding process

What we’re looking for

  • Strong attention to details and urgency

  • Technical Knowledge of DOT Hiring rules and regulations

  • Understanding of DQF process and application verification process

  • Ability to communicate quickly and decisively with peers and management.

  • Ability to work within and promote a positive teamwork environment.

  • Good computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Self-motivated and goal oriented

  • Patient, with excellent interpersonal communication skills

Other key requirements

  • 2+ years’ recruiting experience, strongly preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience with orientation and/or onboarding programs, preferred

  • Experience in the truckload transportation industry, preferred

  • Relocation to Des Moines, IA or Denver, CO required

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% to markets
