Recruiter & Orientation Specialist - Solar Transport

Solar Transport is searching for a Recruiter & Orientation Specialist to join the team! This role will perform all aspects of driver recruitment for the company and will execute and maintain the new onboarding process. What you’ll do

  • Conduct all driver recruiting and driver new hire orientation while creating an optimal onboarding experience
  • Implement the “sell” process by passing on accurate and detailed information to prospective applicants
  • Ensure that all applicants are fully informed as to what our company has to offer, as well as company and job expectations
  • Understand and maintain the ATS (applicant tracking system) & TMS processes daily, specifically Tenstreet & TMW
  • Understand and keep current on DOT qualification standards and company policies for new hire processes

What we’re looking for

  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to communicate quickly and decisively
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Patient with excellent interpersonal communication skills

Other key requirements

  • Truckload transportation industry experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge of DOT hiring rules and regulations is a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Relocation to the Des Moines, IA area required
