Fleet Manager - Solar Transport (Des Moines, IA or Springfield, MO)

Solar Transport is searching for Fleet Manager to oversee, and manage, all day-to-day driver and service-related activities and functions for assigned geographical/terminal driver locations. The Fleet Manager will use sound disciplines to support driver earnings, while generating maximum revenue and operating in an efficient manner by meeting the safety and performance standards set forth by the company, customers and regulating authorities. What you’ll do:

• Dispatch Operations Management

• Responsible and accountable for daily planning and dispatch of customer orders ensuring that all orders are dispatched and requested delivery windows are met

• Responsible for day-to-day issues, regarding service, equipment management, driver-related issues, and service deviations

• Provide customer service for drivers in assigned operating territory

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated

Other key requirements:

• Ability to work business hours Wednesday – Saturday shift

• 1+ years experience in the transportation industry or support role

• Relocation to the Des Moines, IA or Springfield, MO area is required
